Published Authors
First hour recording (minimum session) - £75
Hourly rate after first hour – £60 per hour
Reduced day rate for audiobook recordings – £450 per day
Reduced day rate for three or more days – £400 per day

Voiceovers, Short Form Audio and Published Authors

For recording audiobooks and other long form audio, we recommend allowing 2 hours for every finished hour of audio and a further hour of post production time for editing and mixing. Post production can be quicker or slower, depending on the type of text – please contact us for a quote. If you’d like to do your own editing and mixing the files can be provided as wav files or Pro Tools session files.
STUDIO HIRE INCLUDES
An engineer, and exclusive use of the studio kitchen, lounge and bathroom. The kitchen has all the facilities you'd expect in a normal kitchen including fridge / freezer, cooker, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities. The lounge features a comfortable sofa, a large dining table and broadband internet access.
Within a short walk you will find a Costa coffee shop, Asda, Sainsbury’s, a range of cafes, the Leeds Bradford Canal and some beautiful woodland walks.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Time is charged to the nearest half hour. For regular bookings and multi-day recordings, please contact us for a quote.
A working day is 8 hours, inclusive of lunch and any breaks the narrator needs.
Charges include an engineer, we currently don't offer dry hire except in special circumstances - please contact if this is something you'd like. Daily session back-ups are made to an SSD, a USB SATA drive and a secure cloud service. These back-ups are held for four months. Sessions and audio files are backed up every 5 minutes in case of computer issue.
Cancellation Policy
Audiobook Studio reserves the right to make a charge for cancelled bookings. Bookings may be rescheduled without charge at not less than three working days’ notice; rescheduling at less than two days’ notice may incur a charge of 25 per cent of the booked time. Bookings cancelled completely will be charged at 50 per cent if cancelled altogether at less than three working days’ notice. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
